Player of the game: Kawhi Leonard scored 21 points and was a terror on defense, harassing Rudy Gay and finishing with three steals as San Antonio as handed the Kings their biggest loss of the season.

Turning point: The Kings trailed 37-33 when DeMarcus Cousins was called for his third foul with 6:39 to play in the second quarter. The Kings were outscored 17-5 the rest of the period and couldn’t recover.

Key stat: The Kings shot 37.2 percent for the game while the Spurs shot 52.9 percent.

X-factor: Tony Parker has scored in double figures twice in his last six games, both against the Kings. He had 19 points Wednesday.

Injury update: Cousins played his second game since spraining his left ankle.
