Kings fall to Heat in OT, 114-109

Player of the game: Dwyane Wade scored 14 of his game-high 28 points in the fourth quarter and overtime to help the Heat overcome a 16-point deficit and hand the Kings a third consecutive defeat.

Turning point: The Kings trailed 105-104 with 1:41 left in overtime when DeMarcus Cousins fouled out. The Heat scored five unanswered points to put the game away.

Key stat: The Kings committed 22 turnovers, which led to 27 points for Miami.

X-factor: Miami’s bench was outstanding. Tyler Johnson (24 points), Michael Beasley (18 points) and Mario Chalmers (12 points, seven assists) led the second unit.

Records: Kings 21-40, Heat 28-34

Injury update: Miami was without starters Goran Dragic (lower back), Luol Deng (thigh) and Hassan Whiteside (ankle). A fourth starter, Chris Bosh, is out for the season because of blod clots in his lungs.
