Player of the game: All-Star point guard Jeff Teague led Atlanta’s balanced and efficient offense with 18 points and 13 assists.

Turning point: The Kings cut an early nine-point deficit to 20-18 with 4:20 left in the first quarter. The Hawks responded with an 11-0 run and coasted from there.

Key stat: Atlanta tallied 42 assists, the most in the NBA this season.

X-factor: Dennis Schroder came off the bench and kept the offense flowing as the Hawks blew the game open in the second quarter. He finished with 12 points and eight assists.

Injury update: Atlanta was without reserve forward Pero Antic (ankle).
