Player of the game: DeMarcus Cousins scored 10 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and also grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds to help the Kings end their four-game losing streak.

Turning point: After the Hornets took a 95-94 lead, the Kings went on an 8-0 run to regain control of the game.

Key stat: The Kings gave up 15 points off 13 turnovers. The Kings had allowed an average of 24.3 points off turnovers in their previous four games.

X-factor: Ben McLemore had a season-high 27 points for the Kings. He scored 13 points in the fourth quarter.

Injury update: Hornets center Al Jefferson left the game in the third quarter with an ankle injury. Kemba Walker came off the bench for Charlotte after missing 18 games with a knee injury and surgery.
