Kings lose fifth straight, 101-95 to Jazz

Player of the game: Rookie guard Rodney Hood had a season-high 25 points to lead the Jazz. He also had four steals, two assists and no turnovers.

Turning point: The Kings trailed 83-82 with 6:10 to play when Derrick Williams was called for a technical foul for bumping Jazz center Rudy Gobert after an Omri Casspi dunk. Utah went on a 14-2 run to send the Kings to their fifth consecutive defeat.

Key stats: The Kings gave up 25 points off 20 turnovers, eight by DeMarcus Cousins.

X-factor: Utah’s bench helped put the game away, led by Jeremy Evans’ 10 points, five in the fourth quarter.

Records: Kings 26-50; Jazz 35-42

Injury update: Kings forward Rudy Gay (concussion) missed his third consecutive game. Kings rookie guard Nik Stauskas (back spasms) left late in the third quarter after being kneed in the back. Utah was without sixth man Trey Burke (sore lower back).
