Here are Matt Barnes' plans for Sacramento rally after death of Stephon Clark

Former Kings forward Matt Barnes' march in response to the death of Stephon Clark will be Saturday at noon at Cesar Chavez Plaza.

A flyer for the event says the march is a call to "Unite. Organize. Act".

Barnes offered to help cover the funeral expenses for Clark, 22, an unarmed African American man who was shot by Sacramento police late on March 18. Officers were responding to reports of a man breaking car windows. They shot at Clark 20 times in his grandmother's backyard.

Clark was holding a cellphone when he was shot; police apparently thought he had a gun.

Barnes expressed outrage over the situation via social media and moved to plan a march Saturday. Barnes also attended the funeral for Clark on Thursday.

Barnes, who starred at Del Campo High School before attending UCLA, retired from the NBA this season. He spent last season with the Kings before being waived and signing with Golden State.

Barnes has said he wanted focus on causes away from the court now that he is no longer playing.
