Ben McLemore’s defensive struggles have been obvious lately. During Michael Malone’s pregame media session, he was asked again about McLemore’s struggles.
“Every night he plays whether it’s James Harden or Kevin Martin who can score ... tonight it’s Eric Gordon who’s a very capable scorer,” Malone said. “So there are no off nights for him. That’s part of the challenge of being a young two guard starting in the NBA. Every night you have to be ready to defend and play at a high level.”
Gordon is a strong player, who could get McLemore in early foul trouble by playing aggressively. McLemore will have similar problems if he’s matched up against Tyreke Evans.
*The Kings are awaiting the results on an MRI on Carl Landry’s sore right knee. Malone said the results would determine if Landry travels with the team on the upcoming seven-game road trip.

Prediction time: After missing on making a pick the last game, I’m back. This is a game the Kings should be able to win if they play together (such as not ignoring a hot player as they did Rudy Gay on Saturday).
The Pelicans are struggling and have been hurt by injuries. A good effort from the Kings should be enough to end their three-game losing streak.
Kings 105, Pelicans 93
