The Kings announced they have traded guard Jason Terry and two future second round draft picks to the Houston Rockets for guard/forward Alonzo Gee, guard Scotty Hopson and a trade exception.
The Rockets will receive Sacramento’s 2015 second round pick if it falls between 31 and 49, and New York’s 2016 unprotected second round pick from the Kings.
Terry was acquired in February along with Reggie Evans for Marcus Thornton. Terry never played for the Kings after the team allowed him to rehab in Dallas. Terry had been slowed with the Nets after offseason knee surgery.
Terry had made it clear in public comments that he did not want to play for the Kings and preferred to play for a playoff contender.

Gee and Hopson have non-guaranteed contracts for the 2014-15 season and it would be a surprise if either actually played in Sacramento.
The Kings are expected to waive both and save money on the salary cap.
