Kings reach deal with Marco Belinelli

The Kings reached an agreement with free agent forward Marco Belinelli on a three-year deal worth $19 million, a league sorce confirmed.

Belinelli, 29, is a proficient three-point shooter who spent the last two seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. He is a career 39.2 percent shooter from three-point range.

After failing to to land their top target, guard Wesley Matthews, the Kings moved quickly to help fill their need for improved perimeter shooting.

Belinelli (6-foot-5, 210) averaged 9.2 points in 62 games with the Spurs last season. He was a first-round pick of Golden State in 2007 and also has played for Toronto, New Orleans and Chicago.

The Kings are meeting with free agent point guard Rajon Rondo today.
