The Kings’ plan vs. Clippers

KINGS (1-1) AT L.A. CLIPPERS (2-0)

THE PARTICULARS

Where: Staples Center, Los Angeles

Time: 12:30 p.m.

TV/radio: CSNCA, 1140

THREE KEYS

1. Stop the lob: If the Kings aren’t paying attention, they will end up on the wrong end of the highlights. The Kings have to be aware of Chris Paul finding teammates for lob dunks.

2. Get to the line: Sacramento hasn’t shot well in two games but has been able to get to the free-throw line, which helps the offense. DeMarcus Cousins draws a lot of fouls, which puts the opposition in the penalty early.

3. Pack the paint: If Paul is able to get into the lane with ease, he can control the game for the Clippers and set up teammates. Slowing down Paul’s dribble penetration is key.
