The Kings rallied in the second half without DeMarcus Cousins but could not overcome a strong game from Blake Griffin in a 114-109 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers Saturday night at Staples Center.
Player of the game: Blake Griffin had 37 points (14 in the fourth quarter), nine rebounds and six assists as the Clippers beat the Kings for the second time this season.
Turning point: The Kings led 96-95 with 6:13 to play, but the Clippers went on an 8-0 run.
X-factor: J.J. Redick had 23 points, hitting 8 of 9 shots from the field and 5 of 5 from the free-throw line.
