The Memphis Grizzlies handed the Kings their third straight defeat, 97-85, Sunday at Sleep Train Arena.

The Kings (9-8) were playing their second consecutive game without DeMarcus Cousins (virus) and didn’t help their cause by committing 23 turnovers that led to 23 points for the Grizzlies (15-2).

Rudy Gay led the Kings with 20 points and Ben McLemore had 18 points. Darren Collison had 16 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.

Reggie Evans played 35 minutes and had 17 points and 20 rebounds. He played so much because Cousins’ replacement, Ryan Hollins, was ejected after being called for his second technical foul with 10:15 left in the third quarter.

Zach Randolph had 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead Memphis. Marc Gasol added 18 points.
