Kings’ offense fades in 103-89 loss to Grizzlies

Player of the game: Zach Randolph had 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Memphis Grizzlies, bouncing back from a 50-point loss to the Golden State Warriors the night before, beat the Kings on Tuesday at Sleep Train Arena.

Turning point: Memphis outscored the Kings 25-11 in the second quarter to take a 50-40 lead at halftime. The Grizzlies controlled the rest of the game as Kings never regained their offensive flow.

X-factor: The Kings shot 40 free throws but made only 24 (60 percent).

Records: Kings 1-3, Grizzlies 3-2

Key injuries: The Kings’ DeMarcus Cousins (strained right Achilles’) did not play. Memphis’ Marc Gasol sat out the second half because of neck spasms.
