Player of the game: DeMarcus Cousins had 33 points and nine rebounds as the Kings ended their six-game losing streak with a 101-92 win over the Detroit Pistons Wednesday night at Sleep Train Arena.

Turning point: The Kings controlled most of the game, but the Pistons cut a 19-point lead to 94-89 with 3:59 to play. The Kings responded by scoring the next seven points.

X-factor: Rajon Rondo played 48 minutes and had 14 points, 11 rebounds and 15 assists. Rudy Gay had his best game of the season with 25 points.

Records: Kings 2-7, Pistons 5-3

Key injuries: Darren Collison (left hamstring strain) and Seth Curry (right ankle sprain) both sat out for the third consecutive game.
