Kings winning streak ends at three, 103-97 at Atlanta

Player of the game: Paul Millsap had 23 points and 16 rebounds as the Hawks ended the Kings’ three-game winning streak 103-97 on Wednesday night at Philips Arena. Atlanta was without two of its usual starters, including All-Star guard Jeff Teague.

Turning point: Needing one more basket to stave off the Kings’ rally, Millsap scored in the lane to give the Hawks a 101-97 lead with 15.7 seconds to play.

X-factor: The Kings committed 21 turnovers that led to 19 points for the Hawks.

Records: Kings 4-8, Hawks 9-5

Key injuries: Kings guard Darren Collison returned to the court after a strained left hamstring kept him out for five games. He scored seven points in 28 minutes.
