DeMarcus Cousins, Rajon Rondo shine in Kings’ 112-93 win over Lakers

Player of the game: DeMarcus Cousins continued his dominant run through January with 36 points, 16 rebounds and three assists as the Kings defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 112-93 Wednesday night at Staples Center. It was the Kings’ third consecutive win, all on the road.

Turning point: After the Lakers cut the Kings’ lead to 91-87 with 8:18 to play, the Kings answered with a 13-0 run over the next three minutes sparked by Cousins and Darren Collison.

X-factor: Rajon Rondo controlled the game for the Kings with 11 points and 17 assists. The Lakers had 17 assists as a team.

Records: Kings 18-23, Lakers 9-35
