Player of the game: DeMarcus Cousins had 39 points and nine rebounds to lead the Kings to their third consecutive win, 114-110 over the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night at Pepsi Center.

Turning point: The score was tied 107-107 when Cousins stole the ball from guard D.J. Augustin with 50 seconds to play. Cousins then made two free throws on Augustin’s foul to give the Kings a 109-107 lead to hold off Denver’s rally from a 17-point deficit.

X-factor: Sacramento again survived its mistakes. The Kings allowed 23 points off 16 turnovers.

Records: Kings 24-31, Nuggets 22-35

Key injuries: None.

DeMarcus Cousins says he hasn't given up on the Kings this season.
