Chris Paul leads Clippers to 117-107 victory over Kings

Player of the game: Point guard Chris Paul had 40 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds as the Los Angeles Clippers coasted by the Kings 117-107 Friday night at Sleep Train Arena.

Turning point: The Clippers outscored the Kings 34-16 in the third quarter. Sacramento led 72-64 with 10:40 in the third, but Los Angeles then went on a 20-0 run to take control.

X-factor: Small forward Jeff Green scored 22 points in his first start as a Clipper.

Records: Kings 24-33, Clippers 38-20

Key injuries: Kings guard Rajon Rondo missed the game with right thumb tendinitis and is day-to-day. The Clippers were without forwards Paul Pierce (personal reasons) and Blake Griffin (hand).
