Kings beat Mavericks 104-101 to end Dallas drought

Player of game: Rajon Rondo had 18 points, 12 assists and three steals in his return to Dallas as the Kings ended a 22-game losing streak in Dallas with a 104-101 victory Thursday night at American Airlines Center.

Turning point: The Kings made 7 of 9 shots and outscored the Mavericks 16-7 to start the fourth quarter to open a 89-76 lead. That allowed Sacramento to take control of the game. It was needed as the Kings were 10 of 20 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.

X-factor: The Kings’ bench provided a boost, led by Marco Belinelli’s 16 points and Darren Collison’s 14 points.

Records: Kings 25-35, Mavericks 33-29

Key injuries: Seth Curry (sprained right foot) missed his third consecutive game.
