Player of the game: DeMarcus Cousins led the Kings with 29 points and 10 rebounds as they defeated the Washington Wizards 120-111 Wednesday night at Sleep Train Arena. Cousins was called for a technical foul with 6.7 seconds to play, his 16th of the season. If it is not rescinded, he will be suspended for Friday’s game against Miami. With its 30th win, Sacramento surpassed last season’s total and earned its most since the 2007-08 season.

Turning point: The Kings used a 17-7 run in the fourth quarter to turn their 91-88 lead into a 108-95 advantage with 6:39 to play.

X-factor: Sacramento’s bench was key in the fourth quarter, led by Darren Collison, who finished with 13 points and 10 assists.

Records: Kings 30-45, Wizards 36-39

Key injuries: The Kings’ Marco Belinelli (sore right foot) missed his third consecutive game.

"Sometimes the game isn't about the players on the court," said Rajon Rondo after he was ejected from game with 6.7 seconds left against Wizards.
