Kings vs. Timberwolves

THE PARTICULARS

  • Where: Sleep Train Arena
  • When: Thursday, 7 p.m.
  • TV/radio: CSNCA, 1140
  • Records: Kings 31-47, Timberwolves 26-52

THREE KEYS

  • 1. Keeping Big Cuz: DeMarcus Cousins was hit with his 17th technical foul in Tuesday’s loss to Portland. If he gets No. 18 on Thursday, it will trigger a second mandatory one-game suspension by the NBA and cost him the home finale Saturday.
  • 2. Rookie watch: Minnesota rookie Karl-Anthony Towns had a big game last month with Cousins out because of an injury, and he had 20 points and 12 rebounds in the Timberwolves’ overtime victory against the Warriors on Tuesday. Cousins must make it a rough night for the rookie.
  • 3. Revenge? Minnesota has beaten the Kings three times this season. Perhaps that will give the Kings enough incentive to avoid being swept by the Timberwolves.
