Gorgui Dieng leads Timberwolves over Kings 105-97

Player of the game: Minnesota forward Gorgui Dieng had 18 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Timberwolves to a 105-97 win over the Kings on Thursday night at Sleep Train Arena. Minnesota swept the season series from the Kings, 4-0.

Turning point: Minnesota outscored the Kings 15-6 to start the fourth quarter and take a 98-84 lead with 6:37 to play.

X-factor: Reserve big man Nemanja Bjelica scored a career-high 18 points, including eight in the fourth quarter, for the Timberwolves.

Key injuries: Omri Casspi (hamstring) and Marco Belinelli (foot) were out for the Kings, as were DeMarcus Cousins and Rajon Rondo (rest).
