Kings game plan vs. New York Knicks

KINGS (16-27) AT

KNICKS (8-37)

THE PARTICULARS

Where: Madison Square Garden, New York

Time: 4:30 p.m.

TV/radio: CSNCA, 950, 1140

THREE KEYS

1. Inside-out: Establishing DeMarcus Cousins in the post would be a good way to take the crowd out of the game and get the Knicks in foul trouble. It also would help the Kings control the tempo. He scored 39 points against the Knicks last month.

2. Small forward duel: In last month’s meeting, the Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony had 36 points, and the Kings’ Rudy Gay scored 29. Gay will have to score and do enough to make it tough on Anthony to score.

3. Limit giveaways: The Kings have averaged 18.7 turnovers during their six-game losing streak. If they give up the ball that many times against the Knicks, their season-high skid likely will continue.
