Turning point: The Pacers had a chance to cut their deficit to 95-94 after a steal by David West, but C.J. Miles missed an open three-pointer with 37.9 seconds left and the Kings survived after leading by as many as 23 points.

X-factor: Even though he shot just 6 of 24, DeMarcus Cousins dominated the glass with 19 rebounds to go with 20 points before fouling out.

Injury update: Cousins played through a sprained left ankle and Carl Landry played through a sprained right wrist. The Pacers were without Lavoy Allen (sore right knee) and have been without Paul George (fractured right leg) all season.
