Third-round pick Eddie Vanderdoes boosts Raiders defense, fans say on Twitter

Another Sacramento area native is headed for the bay as the Raiders drafted defensive tackle Eddie Vanderdoes in Friday’s third round of the NFL draft.

Drafted out of UCLA, Vanderdoes is a Placer High School product. Taken 88th overall, he represented the Raiders’ second pick of the day. Safety Obi Melifonwu was the first, picked in the second round.
