49ers pregame: Carlos Hyde to play against Cardinals

GLENDALE, AZ. -- Running back Carlos Hyde and receiver Torrey Smith are active for today’s game against the Cardinals after each was limited in practice during the week.

Hyde missed the last two contests with a sprained shoulder. He’s expected to start but DuJuan Harris could see more snaps than Hyde’s backups received early in the season. Harris started the most recent game against New Orleans and finished 142 combined yards and a touchdown.

Another 49ers running back, Mike Davis, is inactive for the first time this year. Davis started the 49ers’ Week 7 game against the Buccaneers.

Smith, meanwhile, has dealt with a sore lower back recently but said he started to feel better as the week of practice went on. Cornerback Rashard Robinson, who like Hyde and Smith, was designated as questionable, is inactive for the second straight game with a knee injury.
