Ian Silberman

Pick: No. 190

OL, Boston College

Size: 6-5, 306, 33 1/8-inch arms, 10-inch hands

Why he fits: Silberman played right tackle at Boston College, although he is projected to play guard for the 49ers. He’s an overachiever. The 49ers are looking for a new starter at left guard this year and could need a right guard next year if Alex Boone moves on in free agency. Silberman took part in 97.8 percent of the Eagles’ offensive snaps last year and was third-team All-ACC. He began his college career at Florida.

Why he doesn’t: Silberman didn’t get invited to the combine. The 49ers may have an opening on the offensive line but they have plenty of players already competing for those spots, including Brandon Thomas, Eric Pears, Marcus Martin, Joe Looney and Dillon Farrell.
