The 49ers have signed nine of their 10 draft picks, the team announced today. The only draft pick who hasn't signed is first-rounder Arik Armstead, who is not allowed to report until Friday.
Because the University of Oregon's class schedule will run through May, NFL rules prohibit Armstead (Pleasant Grove High) from joining full-team team sessions until early June. The big defensive lineman, however, is permitted to take part in the upcoming rookie minicamp that will run Saturday through Monday.
The 49ers then will have a series of OTAs beginning next week that Armstead can't attend. He will be back in time for the mandatory minicamp that runs June 9-11.
It's not known where Armstead will line up, although he played on the left side side of the Ducks' defensive line last season. In adition to their 10 draft selections, the 49ers signed nine rookie free agents last week.
