What athletes with Sacramento-area connections are up to at the Summer Olympics:

DeMarcus Cousins, Kings, basketball: The U.S. men play Argentina in Wednesday’s quarterfinals. The semifinals are Friday and the gold-medal game is Sunday.

Haley Anderson, Granite Bay, swimming: Anderson finished fifth in Monday’s women’s 10k open-water race. Sharon van Rouwendaal of the Netherlands won the gold.

Kim Conley, Sacramento, track and field: Conley competes Tuesday in heats of the 5,000 meters.
