Travis Ishikawa singled in the tiebreaking run in the seventh inning as the River Cats ended a four-game losing streak, defeating the Fresno Grizzlies 4-1 at Raley Field on Wednesday night.
Brett Jackson led off the seventh with a double and scored on Ishikawa’s one-out hit.
Fresno took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on Robbie Grossman’s sacrifice fly. The River Cats tied it in the third when Darren Ford led off with a home run to right.
Sacramento added two runs in the eighth when Ehire Adrianza singled in Trevor Brown and Ford scored from first base on left fielder Jonathan Villar’s fielding error on the play.

River Cats starter Chris Stratton allowed two hits in six innings. Jean Machi earned the win with two shutout innings, and Erik Cordier struck out three in the ninth for the save.
