Highlight: Brandon Allen hit a solo homer and Wilmer Flores had a two-run bases-loaded double to lead the Las Vegas 51s past the River Cats 4-1 on Friday night at Raley Field.

Need a streak: The River Cats must win the final three games of July in order to avoid their first losing month of the season. They were 14-12 in April and 21-9 in May. However, they are 11-14 this month.

TGI Saturday: The River Cats have their best record on Saturdays at 8-3, including a 4-1 mark at home.

46 and counting: On May 5, the River Cats were in last place in the Northern Division. On May 13, they clawed their way to the top of the division and have been in first place ever since, a total of 46 days. Despite losing Friday, they gained a half-game on Reno, a doubleheader loser to Albuquerque.

Lucky No. 22: Through 81 games, River Cats first baseman Nate Freiman has 22 multi-hit games and 22 mult-RBI games.

Transaction #73: The River Cats’ roster was bolstered by the addition of Texas League Midseason All-Star outfielder Josh Whitaker from Double-A Midland. The right-handed hitter had a .320 average with nine home runs and 42 RBIs with the RockHounds.
