In-N-Out Burger is opening a second Elk Grove location at the busy The Ridge shopping center on Elk Grove Boulevard.

Crews are at work on the hamburger spot which will be a stand-alone site and join a growing field of eateries and food options at the retail center including Olive Garden, Nick the Greek, a soon-to-open Buffalo Wild Wings, Pieology Pizzeria, sandwich shop Sourdough & Co., and N’Joy Cafe.

The new site, just east of the Elk Grove Boulevard entrance to The Ridge, spins off of the Southern California chain’s popular East Stockton Road location at 9188 E. Stockton Road, long a favorite in the city, but itself finding new competition from recent Elk Grove entry, the fast-casual and carryout Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers.

Though the new Elk Grove Boulevard location is still in the early stages of construction, In-N-Out is accepting job applications. Wages start at $17 an hour, according to postings at the site.

Applicants can apply online at In-N-Out.com/grandopenings.
