Elk Grove to get local discounter Falling Prices as chain readies for late September open

Sacramento discount retailer Falling Prices is opening an Elk Grove location, store officials announced on its website.

The new store at 10481 E. Stockton Blvd., opens Sept. 27, joining a number of Sacramento-area locations including sites in Citrus Heights, Folsom at Folsom Premium Outlets, Roseville, Sacramento and a new permanent site in Woodland; as well as sites in the San Joaquin Valley and the north Bay Area.

The stores’ concept mirrors its name. Items start at one price each week and prices fall every day until all the items sell and the process starts over. The stores’ catch-all inventory changes every Tuesday, with goods from electronics and office supplies to small appliances and other home goods, according to its website.

The local chain is the brick-and-mortar arm of auction house and liquidator RL Liquidators. Other ventures under the RL umbrella include RL Return Center, discounter That’s Cheap!, and online auction BidRL.com.
