Need directions to Luke Bryan’s concert in Elk Grove? Police map out Saturday’s plan
What’s your kind of night going to look like when Luke Bryan rolls into Elk Grove on Saturday?
After a chorus of confused social media comments, the Elk Grove Police Department finally dropped what many concertgoers were asking for all along: a map.
The Elk Grove Police Department on Tuesday published traffic expectations and road closures for Luke Bryan’s Farm Tour 2026 concert Saturday after residents raised concerns about what to expect near the venue, Mahon Ranch on the city’s southeastern fringe.
The department first posted concert information on Facebook last weekend, but commenters said the update left them with more questions than answers. The video featured an officer speaking from a field about the upcoming event.
Toward the end of the video, a written list of road closures appeared on-screen. In the comments, residents expressed frustration over misunderstanding which roads would be closed.
TikToker Brandon Young posted a video Monday explaining the road closures for “visual learners” who struggled to make sense of the department’s bullet-point list. Using information provided by police, he asked an AI program to create a map showing the closures for the community.
Less than 24 hours later, police returned to social media with a map of their own, saying “We’ve received a lot questions about how to get to the concert. We hear you!”
Police said in their new post Tuesday evening that parking opens at 2 p.m., venue gates open at 5 p.m. and the concert begins at 6 p.m.
There will be two entrances to the concert venue, according to the department.
Drivers traveling westbound on Grant Line Road will enter near Mosher Road. Drivers traveling eastbound on Grant Line Road will enter at Waterman Road.
The ride-share drop-off area is located at 10355 Waterman Road, at the corner of Grant Line and Waterman roads.
Police said parking is available at the venue. Parking passes can be purchased in advance or on-site.
“Once again we are expecting a significant amount of traffic, so please plan ahead,” Elk Grove police warned, “Arrive early and bring your patience. We will have plenty of officers there to help you navigate the road closures.”
