Black Friday in Folsom: Here’s when you can shop the outlets, Palladio and historic district
Black Friday is rapidly approaching.
If you’re looking to shop in the Folsom area, The Bee reached out to the following three shopping centers: the Folsom Premium Outlets, the Palladio and the Folsom Historic District to see what they have to offer.
Here’s what we found out:
Folsom Premium Outlets
The Folsom Premium Outlets will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Black Friday.
The outlets are owned by Simon Property Group and are asked to open and close at the same time, according to representatives from Simon. However, there may be variances in stores based on employees, for example, Under Armor will open an hour earlier at 5 a.m.
Every store in the outlet will be closed on Thanksgiving, according to outlet representatives. The outlets are regularly open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Palladio Shopping Center
The Palladio Shopping Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Black Friday.
Gloria Wright, the general manager for the Palladio at Broadstone, said that the shopping center will be closed on Thanksgiving and that, for the most part, Black Friday hours with restaurants might vary a little bit.
“We don’t tend to be busy early in the morning,” Wright said. “We see traffic increase throughout the afternoon and evening. We have two parking garages that are amazing support for parking and offer easy access points (to the stores). It is very convenient for customer navigation.”
The Palladio’s regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Folsom’s Historic District
Most retailers in the historic district will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Black Friday, according to the Folsom Historic District Association’s executive director, Judy Collinsworth.
“Historically, Small Business Saturday is the best day of the year for our retailers,” Collinsworth said via email. “I’d be very surprised if any businesses are open (on) Thanksgiving.”
Each business is independently owned and operated so hours and specials offered will vary, she said, but the district has a new shuttle service that is “just a call away.”
