From ice cream to games, four business ribbon cuttings in Folsom this month
The big scissors will make an appearance in Folsom this April, as at least four organizations have ribbon cutting ceremonies scheduled this month.
These celebrations range from recognizing new businesses, like Fire & Ice Games and Umbrella Creamery, to freshly remodeled offices, like Equitable Advisors, according to Choose Folsom. Meanwhile, Fusion Academy celebrates its three-year anniversary in Folsom.
Umbrella Creamery
Looking for a sweet treat? Umbrella Creamery, 1870 Prairie City Road, Suite 300, is giving gift cards to the first 50 customers who attend the grand opening at 11 a.m. Thursday, according to a Facebook post. Attendees who spend $10 or more will also get a $5 digital gift card. The shop’s Facebook post states Folsom Mayor Justin Raithel and other members of the Folsom City Council are expected to attend.
Umbrella Creamery has a rotating menu that boasts artisanal ice cream, Mexican-style paleta popsicles, falooda and milkshakes, according to the creamery’s website. Falooda is a drink made of milk, ice cream, fruit and nuts.
The new shop is open 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
Fire & Ice Games
Fire & Ice Games is no stranger to the Sacramento area as it expands to Folsom, adding to existing locations in Citrus Heights and Rocklin.
The new game store, 250 Palladio Parkway, has a ribbon cutting event from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 11, according to Choose Folsom. The ribbon cutting is slated for 10 a.m.
Fire and Ice Games is among a handful of businesses “coming soon” to the Palladio, according to shopping center’s website. Other businesses slated to join the space include Journey to the Dumpling and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
Fusion Academy
Fusion Academy — a private school for students grade four to 12 with learning, social or emotional differences — will celebrate its three-year anniversary with a ribbon cutting.
The celebration is scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at 420 Palladio Pkwy., according to the school’s website, where attendees can RSVP.
Light treats and non-alcoholic refreshments will be served, according to academy’s website. Guided tours and open classrooms are also on the agenda.
Fusion Academy, which is housed at Palladio, is accredited by Cognia and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, according to an academy handout. It offers courses in English, social science, math, science, world language, the arts, wellbeing and personal development.
Equitable Advisors
Equitable Advisors welcomes the public to tour its updated space from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at 81 Blue Ravine Road, according to Choose Folsom. The ribbon cutting is slated for 5 p.m.
The event offers networking opportunities, according to Choose Folsom, alongside free food and beverages.
Equitable Advisors provides financial advice, according to its website, including estate strategies, taxes and planning for retirement.
