Fifteen Folsom residents were displaced Easter Sunday after a duplex fire damaged their building, authorities said.

Folsom firefighters arrived just before 5 p.m. at a duplex near Dean Way and Stafford Street, less than four minutes after dispatch, according to a Folsom Fire Department release.

Firefighters contained the blaze and limited damage to living areas, allowing residents to collect personal belongings after the fire was extinguished, the release said. However, the building’s attic sustained significant damage.

It took about 15 minutes to bring the blaze under control, the department said.

The American Red Cross assisted the 15 displaced residents, according to the Fire Department, which had not reported any injuries as of Sunday night.

The fire’s cause remained under investigation, according to the release.
