Who plays in Folsom Historic District’s Twilight Summer Concert Series in June?
The Zittel Family Amphitheater in Folsom’s historic district welcomes four musical acts this June as part of the Twilight Summer Concert Series.
Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday, according to the Folsom Historic District Association’s website. The shows are free to attend, with a variety of musical acts performing in the city.
Seating is first-come, first-served and reserving a space with a blanket is not permitted, according to the association’s website. Outside alcohol is not allowed, but beer and wine will be sold on-site. Well-mannered dogs are also allowed.
CCSegerR is slated to perform this Thursday. The seven-piece band performs rock-and-roll classics of Bob Seger and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Earlier this year, the band sold out a show in Lincoln, according to its website.
“Tribute bands are everywhere these days. It’s rare that you find a good one — and even rarer to find two truly great tribute bands in one. But that’s what you get with CCSegeR,” Doug Thomas of KSEG-FM wrote in a statement. “Featuring top-notch musicians and two world-class singers, your ears are in for a treat.”
The Sugar High Band will perform at the Zittel Family Amphitheater June 11. The eight-member band performs music from different genres, ranging from soul and pop to funk.
“Their songs are often catchy and upbeat,” the Folsom Historic District Association website states. “They are a talented and passionate group of musicians who are dedicated to creating music that inspires and uplifts.”
“Invisible Sun: A Tribute to The Police” is scheduled to perform June 18, according to the Folsom Historic District Association. The group performs songs by Sting and rock band The Police.
Wayward Buffalo is slated to perform June 25, bringing a blend of Americana, county and folk music to Folsom.
“With worn-in harmonies and honest lyrics, Wayward Buffalo creates music meant for back rooms, open skies and anyone who’s ever felt the pull of the horizon,” the Folsom Historic District Association website states.
The Twilight Summer Concert Series has additional performances scheduled for July and August.
