A rural Lincoln road was closed Thursday with no estimate for reopening, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said.

Garden Bar Road is closed between Mt. Pleasant and Wise roads.

“The roadway over Doty Ravine is sinking,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post.

The road runs from Alderman Creek near Auburn into the rural farms and wineries outside of Lincoln.

It is unknown when the road will reopen, the Sheriff’s Office said.
