A new indoor pickleball complex has opened in Roseville, bringing 11 climate controlled courts and high-tech training tools to one of the fastest growing sports in the country.

Pickleball Kingdom Roseville has opened a 32,900-square-foot facility featuring 11 indoor courts where players can play from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.

The facility includes digital scoreboards, cameras that allow players to capture game replay clips and a digital “dink wall” designed to track player statistics during practice.

Komal Saini said the idea to open the franchise’s first California location started with her husband’s love of the sport.

“My husband started playing a couple years ago and he kind of fell in love with the sport,” she shared. “He started playing in the spring so it was perfect until summer hit. Then he was like I can’t do this heat. It’s too hot outside to play.”

Her husband, Parminder Saini, began searching for indoor options but found few available locally.

The couple eventually decided to open a franchise with Pickleball Kingdom and partnered with another couple, Megan Cohill and Adam Sepulveda.

Komal Saini said securing a location was the most challenging part of launching the business.

“Construction was good. We went with Mason builders and they were a great, amazing team,” she said. “Everything went before schedule. We were supposed to be done April end. We opened March 28 so we were early.”

Saini said the response from the community on opening day exceeded expectations.

“We did not expect to have such a huge response from the community. Our projections for the members were very conservative thinking, “she said.

According to Saini, the Roseville location has already set records for the franchise.

The first Pickleball Kingdom franchise opened in 2022 in Chandler. Since then, the company says more than 100 franchise clubs have been awarded nationwide.

“This is the 30th franchise that opened in the United States, and we broke all the records,” she said.
