What to do if you’ve been in a car accident
A two-car collision east of Woodland on Saturday that involved two adults and two children sent a man to the hospital with major injuries.
Just after 9:30 p.m., California Highway Patrol officers received calls about a collision on Highway 16 near County Road 95 in Yolo County, according to a CHP news release.
A 19-year-old man who had been driving a 2003 Volkswagen was found with major injuries and was taken to UC Davis Medical Center, according to the release.
Responding officers determined the Volkswagen was driving east on Highway 16 when it merged into westbound traffic and hit a 2017 Dodge Ram, which was driven by a 33-year-old man and contained two 5-year-olds, according to the release.
The occupants of the Ram were all uninjured, according to the release.
No arrests were made but officers do not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor and are still investigating the cause of the crash, according to the release.
