Update: Police arrest driver suspected in deadly hit-and-run on Olive Drive in Davis

Police arrested a driver Monday suspected in a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian dead Sunday evening in Davis.

The incident happened on Olive Drive near Richards Boulevard, where a male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, the Davis Police Department said in social media posts.

Detectives located the suspect, identified as 46-year-old Scott Ekoniak of Davis, and the suspect’s vehicle Monday in Sacramento, the department said in a Facebook post.

Ekoniak was arrested and booked into the Yolo County jail on felony hit-and-run charges.

The victim has been identified by the coroner as 66-year-old Ernest Seyfert of Davis.
