Repaving work brings new overnight ramp closures for I-80 between Davis, West Sac
Drivers are being warned about overnight ramp closures along Interstate 80 in Yolo County as Caltrans resumes pavement rehabilitation work, including repaving and restriping at various on- and off-ramps in West Sacramento and Davis.
The closures will affect ramps and connectors along Enterprise, Reed, Jefferson and Harbor boulevards. Motorists will be directed to the next available exit or entrance when a ramp is closed, according to a Caltrans District 3 advisory.
Work is scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Friday and is expected to continue through late July.
The construction is part of Caltrans’ $280 million Yolo 80 Pavement Rehabilitation Project, which includes adding bus and carpool lanes, improving pedestrian crossings, upgrading guardrails and barriers, replacing overhead signs, installing fiber-optic cable and rehabilitating ramps.
Caltrans also reminded motorists that the construction zone speed limit remains reduced to 55 mph on the Yolo Causeway through the Highway 50 portion of the Capital City Freeway in Yolo County.
