Yolo County property values hit record $41.2 billion but one city led the way

Yolo County News

Yolo County’s tax assessment roll reached a record $41.2 billion this year, the county assessor’s office announced Tuesday. From 2025-26, the county tax roll grew by more than $1.5 billion.

The tax roll, which counties must submit to the state by July 1 each year, marked the 14th consecutive annual increase in Yolo County. It also showed how the county’s cities performed.

West Sacramento posted the largest tax roll increase in the county for the first time in a decade. The city’s tax roll grew about 4.7%.

The roll increased in every jurisdiction in Yolo County:

  • West Sacramento: 4.7%
  • Winters: 4.4%
  • Davis: 4.2%
  • Woodland: 3.7%
  • Unincorporated Yolo County: 2.7%

“The assessment roll is more than a measure of property values,” Yolo County Clerk-Recorder Jesse Salinas said in a news release. “It is a critical source of funding for the services our communities rely on every day.”

The increase highlighted the resilience and strength of the Yolo County economy, Salinas said.

Tax assessments will be available online in late August and mailed in September.
