Amtrak is running a flash sale for summer travelers who wish to avoid the nuisances and traffic on highways by bringing their vehicle aboard the Auto Train. However, this offer is only available for a limited time. Ending June 8, 2023, reduced one-way coach fares can be booked for as little as $19 plus the price of a vehicle. Fares for children 2 to 12 years old start at just $9.50 for families traveling together.
Passengers in coach are treated to a comfortable and spacious experience, complete with generously sized, reclining seats, ample legroom, and convenient access to electrical outlets. Additionally, they can enjoy an unobstructed scenic view through a large picture window. Before arrival, guests are treated to a complimentary continental breakfast.
The interiors of all Auto Train coach cars have recently undergone an interior makeover, featuring brand-new seating cushions, upholstery, updated carpeting, and window curtains.
Passengers seeking upgraded peace of mind and comfort can now reserve a First Class private room, which includes priority boarding, complimentary meals during the journey, a dedicated attendant, and newly enhanced bedding, pillows, towels, and linens.
Daily, non-stop service is provided by the Amtrak Auto Train between Lorton, Virginia (close to Washington, D.C.), and Sanford, Florida (close to Orlando). Customers have the option of taking their own cars, vans, SUVs, or motorcycles on their trips. Conveniently this service, which is unique in the United States, shortens the trip from the Northeast to Florida by over 900 miles.
