Kurt Cobain’s daughter speaks publicly about him for first time, doesn’t really like Nirvana
With the HBO debut of the Kurt Cobain documentary, “Montage of Heck,” less than a month away, Rolling Stone talked with Cobain’s daughter, Frances Bean, about her father and the film, for which she was an executive producer.
Frances is now a 22-year-old visual artist and this is the first time she has publicly spoken about her father and his lasting legacy. She also may have broken Nirvana fans’ hearts everywhere, revealing that she doesn’t really like the band. Though, she did say that every time she hears “Dumb,” she cries because she believes the lyrics are how Kurt Cobain saw himself.
