From bites to bashes, here’s where you can ring in the new year in the Sacramento area

New Year’s Eve holds the promise of a fresh start for some, while for others it may inspire rear view reflection.

The Sacramento area offers a bevy of bashes and bites to celebrate the end of 2019 and the start of 2020.

A new year could mean turning over a new leaf for the Kings, who will play host to the Los Angeles Clippers at Golden 1 Center, but those who would rather revel in a bygone era can don their flappers and fedoras at the Hyatt Regency’s New Roaring Twenties party.

For a family-friendly balance, ring in the new year on the Old Sacramento Waterfront, which returns with the Sky Spectacular featuring live music, food, drinks and games, all capped off by a fireworks show.

Call ahead, as some events may require tickets or reservations.
