Jurassic World Live Tour unleashing live-action dinosaur adventure in Golden One Center

As Samuel L. Jackson said while portraying Jurassic Park’s chief engineer, Ray Arnold, “Hold onto your butts.”

Sacramento is hosting a horde of prehistoric guests in June as Jurassic World Live Tour brings the sights, sounds and creatures of the “Jurassic Park” film series to Golden One Center.

Feld Entertainment, the company behind live-action performances such as Disney On Ice and Monster Jam, plans to transform the stomping grounds of the Sacramento Kings into the remote Isla Nubar from June 25-28, when primitive giants will prowl the court.

The tour thrusts visitors into a live-action adventure mirroring 2015’s Jurassic World and 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, where Gyrospheres traverse a brand-new storyline set between the two films.

“Working with a world-class production team and Universal filmmakers, we have extended the Jurassic World canon with a new story that can only be told through this live, arena spectacular as we bring full-scale dinosaurs to generations of fans around the globe,” said Juliette Feld Grossman, chief operating officer of Feld Entertainment in a news release about the production.

The film’s score combines with projectors and practical scenery as more than 20 life-sized, animatronic and performer-operated dinosaurs roam the arena, including a 40-foot-long Tyrannosaurus Rex, Blue the velociraptor and Indominus Rex.

Tickets are available to the general public on Feb. 4, while sales for preferred guests begin Tuesday. Sign up at JurassicWorldLiveTour.com for early access.
