We’re devoting our usual “Three to See” concert space to rounding up some info on what local and out-of-town artists are up to as we continue to fight COVID-19. Hosting a show online or releasing new music? Message us on Instagram with details: @adavis_threetosee.

New single from ‘Camp Sounds’ project featuring Autumn Sky Hall: Tucked away just off the American River Parkway, the Camp Pollock Lodge is perhaps best known locally as a wedding venue. But after remarking to each other (according to their press info) that “you know, it sounds ... great in here,” local musicians Marty Taters and George Jenkins sourced it as inspiration for “Camp Sounds,” a collection of new singles recorded by a troupe of locals in the lodge’s wooden walls. “I Woke Up,” the robust, rootsy Fleetwood Mac/ Linda Ronstadt-inspired first single from veteran performer Autumn Sky Hall — with help from Lare Crawley of Strapped for Cash, Graham Carter of Band of Coyotes and Mason Hoffman of Honyock — is available to stream now. Additional camp tunes are forthcoming from Brotherly Mud, Drop Dead Red, Lady Lively, Shotgun Slim and the aforementioned Band of Coyotes that will make up the full album, due in September. www.facebook.com/campsoundsmusic.

New EP from Minor Fiasco: Before the major fiasco that is coronavirus carpet bombed the local music scene, the newly assembled Minor Fiasco crafted and self-recorded five songs for a debut EP. The trio is composed of bassist Joseph Menke, drummer Chris Fischer, and guitarist Jono Carabba, who is also head honcho at currently COVID-shuttered Submerge Magazine. Rather than let them collect pandemic dust, they fired them over to local producer Ira Skinner for mixing and mastering at his Alley Avenue Studios, thus leading to the release of the project last week. This is a meticulously crafted, refined and imaginative breed of thinking man’s indie post-punk, with each song at its dawn casting a lure of intrigue and flickering with clues as to where it’s about to go, followed by a crested wave of billowing guitars and raw, graveling vocals. Skinner’s renowned Midas touch on the tracks is also both welcome and obvious (fans of his prior work such as Paper Pistols know what we mean here). minorfiasco.bandcamp.com.
