Looking for a way to spend your weekend but unsure about crowded spaces as Sacramento faces another COVID-19 surge? Here are some ideas on how to have fun and stay safe the weekend of Jan. 14-16:
Entertainment

Enjoy an outing from the comfort of your car. Choose between the films “Sing 2,” ”Scream,” “Spiderman: no way home,” “The 355” and more for a drive-in movie experience at West Wind Drive in Theater.
A snack bar is also available with fresh pizza, hot dogs, quesadillas, popcorn, candy, drinks and more.

Visit a free community bicycle repair service Saturday for basic repairs and maintenance only.
Appointments are limited and in high demand. So if you cancel, return to the site to process the cancellation and open up that time slot for your neighbors.
A limited number of walk-in appointments are available on a first come, first served basis. Agree to this waiver to participate in Bike MD services.
Be sure your bike is free of spider infestation, cobwebs and the tires are inflated.
Remember to follow all COVID-19 health protocols and maintain social distancing of 6 feet or more while the mechanic is working on your bike.

Use the Sonic app for contactless ordering and payment, check into your stall number once at the drive-in and wait for your order to be brought to your car.
Ancil Hoffman Park has a noted golf course, trails, ancient oak trees, river access, and the Effie Yeaw Nature Center. Effie Yeaw has peaceful nature trails and a wide range of wildlife.
